CREDAI Surat Women’s Wing Strengthens Community Initiatives and Women’s Leadership in Real Estate
Surat:
As the world marks International Women’s Day, the CREDAI Surat
Women’s Wing (CWW) stands as a strong example of how women are contributing
to both the real estate sector and community welfare. Established two years ago
for the first time in the history of CREDAI Surat, the Women’s Wing
reflects the organization’s commitment to inclusivity, empowerment, and
encouraging women’s participation in the construction and real estate
ecosystem.
The Women’s Wing
functions through a core committee of 15 members, actively working on
initiatives that support communities while also promoting leadership
opportunities for women associated with the industry. Over the past two years,
the group has participated in several social, welfare, and awareness
activities that benefit construction workers and underprivileged
communities.
Among
its key initiatives are medical check-up camps for labourers and local
communities, helping provide access to essential healthcare and health
awareness. The Women’s Wing has also organized grocery distribution drives
for economically weaker families and conducted special health camps for
pregnant women, focusing on maternal health and well-being.
Another
important focus area has been the children of construction workers. The
Women’s Wing regularly organizes engaging and educational activities at
construction sites belonging to CREDAI Surat members, creating a supportive
environment for workers’ families and encouraging children’s participation in
learning activities.
Beyond
social initiatives, the Women’s Wing is also encouraging greater
participation of women in the real estate sector, which has traditionally
been male-dominated. The group motivates builders’ wives and daughters to
explore professional opportunities in areas such as architecture, design,
planning, and real estate management, helping open new avenues for women in the
industry.
The
Women’s Wing operates under the leadership of Convenor Ekta Savani and Co-Convenor
Moxa Mistry, who guide its vision and initiatives. To ensure effective
functioning, the wing has formed dedicated committees responsible for different
areas of activity.
The
CSR (Social & Health) Committee, led by Chairperson Sona Chauhan,
along with members Aditi and Nimisha, focuses on community
welfare and health-related initiatives.
The
Sports Committee, headed by Chairperson Siddhi Barwaliya with
members Dipika Patel and Sonal Nakrani, promotes sports, fitness,
and engagement activities among members.
The
Programme Committee, chaired by Riddhi Barvaliya with members Hetal,
Siddhi, and Charmy, is responsible for organizing and executing events and
special programs conducted by the Women’s Wing.
The
Seminar Committee, led by Chairperson Vinanti Joriwala along with
members Hasti Motisariya and Hetvi Patel, organizes seminars,
workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions aimed at professional growth and
awareness.
Through
this structured leadership and committee framework, the CREDAI Surat Women’s
Wing has emerged as an important platform for women’s empowerment,
community engagement, and industry participation. As the organization
continues to expand its.
